Media Production

To help students' learn to manipulate the technology of the information age in which they live, the Freedom Project offers classes in media production. Students not only learn how to create video documentaries and produce their own digital projects, they also develop critical thinking skills to analyze the media images and sounds that are all around them. Our Media Production Team's "Sankofa" documentary told the story of the civil rights movement in Sunflower County and raised questions about how young people can be active in their communities today. Under the direction of Blogmaster Shaquille Leflore, a third year Fellow, our Team now produces its own blog.
