Freedom Fellowship

The Freedom Fellowship is a six-year commitment to excellence. It is open to students following their sixth grade year, and there is no requirement of high grades or test scores -- but students and their families must show a sincere commitment to developing excellence. When they become Freedom Fellows, students commit themselves to six years of Freedom Project activities. From seventh grade through high school, they must participate in intensive summer programs, classes every Saturday during the school year, study sessions after school, and martial arts training.

"I joined the Freedom Project because I want to make my mother proud and also make a difference not only to me and my mother, but make a difference in the community."
